We want to send a huge "Thank You" to all our amazing volunteers—parents, relatives, alumni parents, and alumni—who stepped up this past week.

Your help in staffing the concession stand, feeding our marchers, and getting them on and off the field made everything run smoothly.

We couldn’t do it without you!

Save the Date – MVHS Bands Boosters Parent Meeting

Parent involvement is the key ingredient in the success of the MVHS Bands Program!

If your student is part of the Band or Color Guard, you are already a member of the Bands Boosters.

Our monthly meetings are the place to:

• Hear the latest updates from the Bands Director

• Plan and prepare for upcoming events

• Coordinate how we can best support our students

  
  

By working together, we build on tradition, foster teamwork, and strengthen school and community pride—while laying a strong foundation for our students that lasts for years to come.

TAG Day – Our Biggest Band Fundraiser!

We’ll share details at the upcoming Bands Boosters meeting, but here’s a quick overview so you can plan ahead:

📅 Saturday, September 13, 2025

TAG Day is when MVHS Band & Color Guard students—dressed in their marching uniforms—visit Mount Vernon neighborhoods to request tax-deductible donations in support of our program.

The community looks forward to this “door knock” every September!

Thanks to past generosity, we’ve replaced our ATV, purchased new uniforms, and funded essential equipment. This year, proceeds will go toward:

• New musical instruments, field-show props, and equipment

• Support for our Winter Guard program

• Saving toward a dedicated instrument trailer

We need every parent and student involved to make TAG Day a success.
