On Saturday, October 18th, our MVHS Marching Majors – “Free As A Bird” competed in their third competition of the season at the USBands Marching in the Park.
They performed beautifully and earned First Place Overall in Division A3! 🥇
The Majors also swept their captions with:

Volunteer Support Needed
To ensure a safe and successful competition, we need adult chaperones and pit crew members to join the students.
Chaperones: Per FCPS guidelines for 2025–26, all parent volunteers must be vetted by the county. Please submit all names by Wednesday, October 22nd, for the October 25th competition.
Once registered in the system, you’ll be eligible to volunteer for all events throughout the year (across all subject areas).Please sign up via Sign-Up Genius, and Mr. Bacz will provide you with the FCPS registration link.
