As summer continues, we hope everyone is enjoying a well-deserved break and finding time to relax with family and friends. While we experienced a couple of days of poor air quality last week, we hope everyone stayed safe and is ready for the exciting marching band season ahead!
As we prepare for another incredible year of music, performances, and memories, communications will begin increasing over the next several weeks. For now, there are two important, time-sensitive items that require your immediate attention.
🎺 Marching Majors Registration – Action Needed
The 2026–2027 Marching Majors Registration Packet has been distributed and includes everything needed to register for the upcoming season. Families may complete the paper packet or use the electronic registration link included inside.
Please complete your registration as soon as possible.
Our drill designer begins creating this year's marching show based on our official registration numbers, and instrumentation must be submitted by Monday. Accurate numbers are essential, as changes after the drill is written can result in significant delays and additional design costs.
If you have not yet registered, please do so today to help ensure a smooth start to the season.
🎵 Band Booster Executive Board Election
The MVHS Band Boosters play a vital role in supporting every aspect of our band program—from fundraising and event coordination to volunteering and student support. As we prepare for an exciting year, including the 2027 MVHS Indoor Competition and our Spring Trip to Orlando, strong parent leadership is more important than ever.
2026–2027 Executive Board Candidates
President: Vernon Giscombe (Unopposed)
Vice President: Jose Torres and Athenia Watts (Election Required)
Treasurer: Deborah Sutton (Unopposed)
Secretary: Ailed Velez (Unopposed)
Parents are encouraged to participate in the Vice President election. Candidate biographies are available with the ballot.

Looking Ahead
We are excited about the upcoming marching season and look forward to welcoming both returning and new families. We also encourage everyone to support our incoming Band Booster Executive Board and consider volunteering in one of the many areas where parent involvement will be needed throughout the fall and as we prepare for the 2027 Spring Orlando trip.
