What an incredible weekend for our MVHS Marching Majors – “Free As A Bird”!

At their last competition of the season, the USBands - Maryland-Virginia State Championship. They performed this year’s selections — including original music by Luke McMillan, “Blackbird” by the Beatles, and “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd — and earned First Place Overall in the Group 3A!

The Majors also swept their captions with:

If you missed their recent performance, you have one more opportunity this season to cheer them on — Friday, November 7th, 2025, at the last MVHS Varsity Football game. It will also be a special night as we honor our Class of 2026 Marching Majors Seniors.

Our MV Majors Girls Flag Football will take the field against the Thomas Edison HS - Eagles & South County HS - Stallions!

💚💛 A special shoutout to two of our very own Marching Majors — Natalie Doyle & Michaela Dresch — who’ll be suiting up and representing the Majors with pride!

Let’s fill the stands and show our support for our students and our school. 💪🎶
