Congratulations to all our musicians on an awesome Winter Concert! It was a fantastic day of Music. We would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the 15 Band Alumni that came to perform and shared their reflections that MVHS Bands Program have in their hands. The Program look forward to upholding this tradition in future years.

Congratulations to these five (5) students and one (1) alternate Daniel Gutierrez who will be representing Mount Vernon HS at the 2025 District X Band Festival scheduled for January 30th and February 1st.

Families and friends, we invite you come out and join us for our Friends and Family Show this Sunday, January 26th at 11:00 am!  It will mean the world  to our performers to have you all there, supporting the students and helping them to get their jitters out.  The students have been working really hard and are really beginning to step out of their comfort zones to perform this challenging and unique show.

They are really excited and looking forward to their first competition of the season schedule for Saturday, February 1st at Forest Park High School.

Upcoming - MVHS Indoor Home Show - AIA Color Guard/Percussion/Winds Competition

We are excited to host our 11th AIA Indoor Guard & Percussion Competition on Saturday, March 22nd at the Mount Vernon High School Field House. This is a fantastic opportunity for our Winter Color Guard unit to showcase their dedication. This event holds significant importance for our program and school, and the smoother our event runs, the more successful it will be financially.

We have 70 teams joining us to compete, requiring volunteers for nearly 400 positions across 9 shifts and various work stations. Please watch for the SignUp Genius to select your shift.
